Arlo Gilbert is the CEO and cofounder of Osano. An Austin, Texas, native, he has been building software companies for more than twenty-five years in categories including telecom, payments, procurement, and compliance.
In early 2018, Arlo and fellow cofounder Scott Hertel watched in disbelief as members of the US Congress questioned technology leaders about online data privacy. It was clear then, just as it’s clear now, that even the best and brightest officials lacked essential knowledge about how data is stored and shared—and if they were confused, then businesses must be as well.
That’s why Arlo and Scott founded Osano. Whether through his work as the CEO of Osano, as a thought leader on data privacy, or as a writer and speaker, Arlo has made it his mission to make it easy for businesses to do the right thing when it comes to data privacy.
